Charlotte has been with the Fleming County Dispatch for 35 years, 26 of which she serves as Director. Each day is a new challenge and Charlotte feels privileged to have such a good group of dispatchers to work with. Her career in emergency 911 services include being the first Director and help with the Implementation of the County's First Ambulance Service. She was secretary for several years To the Fleming County Emergency Planning Committee, and Assistant Director to the Emergency Management Director, back then called DES. She was a certified EMT, certified AHA CPR instructor. Charlotte belonged for a few years to the Real Estate Association. She is married to Gene Benton and they enjoy bowling, traveling, church and being with their friends and family. |
